A man named Marcus was trying to start a new life in a new city when one night his co-worker and new friend invites him to a party at a club. Hoping to make more friends and get out the house more, Marcus goes only to leave the party early and have his entire world flipped on end. Someone murders him for reasons unknown to him, and as he lay dying on the side of a road he ponders what he'd have done differently if he had a second chance. To his shock he awakens in a dark place and finds himself with abilities and a new view on life. Now he will stop at nothing to find out who killed him, why, and most importantly how he came back....

My best friend is an idiot crushing on a jerk. Instead of eating peanut butter cups at his house on Halloween, I'm throwing rocks at Skurdulka's house. That's how it started. I actually lay eyes on a shapeshifting cryptid and I'm not going to live to tell about it. Great. If I can get Skurdulka to let me leave (alive), I'll have a story to tell. Kidnapped by the government, He was given two options: fight for them against other unknown monsters or die. The decision was easy, Dayvawn's new goal is to slay the creatures that dare harm humans.
