During the events from "Malevolence", Ransom turned out to be the prime suspect, and was the culprit behind the murder of his grandfather, Harlan Thrombey - but was he?
Tormented by the discovery of Ransom's true intentions, Evelyn wrestles with her emotions toward Ransom, even though he has been arrested for the murder of Harlan Thrombey and Fran. Her love for Ransom still continues to grow stronger, and not weaker.
Evelyn cannot fathom as to why Ransom would resort to murder, to get what he wants, because she believes Ransom is not a murderer. So Evelyn wants to investigate to find out if Ransom was truly the one who was responsible for Harlan's death, but Detective Benoit Blanc is not convinced that Ransom is innocent.
So Evelyn will need to set out to prove if Ransom is guilty or not, but nobody wants to listen to her. Not even Ransom's family.
Evelyn also has another secret she is scared to tell Harlan's family: She's pregnant, and Ransom is the father of the child.
Will Evelyn be able to convince Harlan's family to help her, or will they turn their back on her and Ransom?
To make this situation worse, Jake has decided to come back into Evelyn's life, but Jake doesn't appear to be the kind-hearted soul Evelyn once knew him to be. So is there more of a sinister side to Jake that Evelyn isn't aware of, or is it all just inside Evelyn's head?
Will Evelyn get to the core of what really happened to Harlan and Fran, or will she be fighting a losing battle? Will Detective Benoit Blanc help Evelyn with her investigation, or will he turn a blind eye?
Will Evelyn and Ransom have their happy ending, or will someone destroy their happiness?
This is the last story to the "Your Ghost" Trilogy. I hope that everyone enjoyed reading this story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Grace Carson was friends with Ransom Drysdale throughout school. Best friends actually, but only in private, their friendship breaking apart after graduation. She went to college, coming back to Boston to work at Harlan's publishing company as an editor. But when Harlan dies, she's thrown back into Ransom's life at the bequest of Harlan himself. Will they be able to get along well enough to carry out Harlan's wishes or will their differences just be too much, leaving Ransom without his inheritance.
