After finishing the song of Achilles, I decided to write this headcanon so I could move on with my life. In hopes that my heart would finally mend after Madeline tore it from my chest.(T_T) I just felt that I needed a short story where we get to see Achilles and Patroclus reunited and happy in their afterlife. It was quite a cathartic process and the end result is this. I hope it gives you as much relief reading it as it gave me writing it. Enjoy :)

Setting: After Thetis etches Patroclus' name on Achilles' tomb, his soul is finally unbound from the earth. Patroclus is free to reunite with his lover, friend, companion and protector, Achilles.

P.S My heart is still broken, but less so after writing this.

Kalopsia [ka-lop-se-a] Greek (n.) The delusion of things being more beautiful than they really are. Poetry. Mostly intertwined with Tales of Greek Mythology. "Will wonders never cease When my muse saunters the velvet night, And prays to the moon for fine dreams, With the voice of a thousand angels singing a symphony?" "You obliterated her heart Ruined her morality Invaded her thoughts without permission And filled her senses with poison." "A single flower, the Hyacinth To be here for all time, Til the earth goes for the long rest, And til we all are dying, And on its softest petals, I inscribe my sorrows "alas" For all time." #1 in free verse as of 1/21/21 #4 in poetry as of 3/24/22 #1 in dark academia as of 10/5/20 #1 in romanticism as of 11/18/20 #1 in light academia as of 1/16/21 #12 in poet as of 1/20/21
