Hermione's constant nightmares and PTSD from war are making her a less-than-appropriate candidate for the task of finding the killer. She receives strict orders to stay put in her room, but she just can't help herself. She has to help.
So she does the unthinkable. She makes a deal with Draco Malfoy.
