In the future set in 2800, Marie is suddenly charged for a crime she didn't commit and is made into a Penitatas. Though her life is ripped away from her she finds comfort in being a child again. If you're not sure what a Penitatas is I'd search lurking dragon on Google, it should pop up.
Marie is also a decedent of Selena's (So they're relatives of Annie and Selena)
