The goddess Arachne was not very favorable in the realm of the gods, her mother was a goddess who had a affair with a demon causing her to have demon atributes, the gods never let her do anything due to this until they found out that one of the popular goddess' was going to have a child, kicking Arachne out and sending her to earth where she took the form of a cat so as to not be hunted
