All his life, Azazil was expected to be perfect. He rose from the ashes of his namesake Helel, so he was expected to become even greater. But what happens when you have to become greater than the most perfect of God's creatures? Unfortunately for Azazil, his failure meant being cast out.
Now living as a failed seraph, his eternal task is to row just souls to their eternal resting place. For 3000 years he has endured this with no sign from his former home. One day, however, he finally gets a signal that he is allowed back.
But when the signal turns out to be false, his punishment for shirking his duties is being cast down to the horrifying depths of Gehinnom.
