For decades, Vokranim have proved themselves a sinister threat to the world. Scientists are desperate to exterminate these soul-feasting creatures who look identical to humans. Armies are fighting to protect humanity. The world, in short, is in peril.

And so, when rumour spreads that a special ring can be used for humans to permanently destroy Vokranim, there's no hesitation to go after it. The only problem is that with the ring in the hands of Vokranim, they will be capable of destroying humans in the exact same way.

Peyton is a young, professional thief who knows how to get her hands on anything. But one Vokranim in disguise is making things much, much more difficult than it needs to be.
