Ever since Ashleigh's father died, her life just kept crumbling. Her mother turned into a drunk, abusive, over protective woman, and a rapist. Ashleigh was never allowed to leave the house. She was homeschooled and depressed. But when her mother reveals something that will keep trapped her trapped with her mother for good, she runs away and learns what the real world is like. She realizes that it might be evil, but it's a beautiful evil.
