Forsaken by Fate

Relegated to abandonment on the steps of a church as an infant, it appeared as though Brakrem, from birth, was destined to struggle throughout his life. The son of a forbidden romance between his noble of a father, Tasloc and his one true love, his childhood friend Helene and the target of a vengeful stepmother who married his father for political purposes, he could never possess a normal life. Surviving a malicious assault at a young age, despite his paternal father observing the child occasionally, he was further downtrodden by destiny by having to make ends meet as a street urchin; although he managed to forge some essential bonds whilst enduring such an arduous misfortune.

This story is set in a fantasy world, comprising of different species such as elves, dwarves, orcs and the like. Magic is rare, but is conspicuous amongst families of noble blood. All of these individuals co-exist however, in relative harmony. There are always, unfortunately, eldritch individuals though who suit their own purposes, even in places where one would least expect.

Corruption, Exploitation, Manipulation among other atrocities are ubiquitous in this land, mimicking real life to an extent. This story will be a short one for now, but if it gains enough traction it will continue.
