Unexpectedly, they cross paths, though neither of them think much about it. That is, until they come to realize they might benefit from each other, thus compromising on an agreement. 

What started as mere traveling partners, blossomed into a much more intimate bond between the two foreigners. 


Disclaimer: The timeline here is based on pre-Khaenri'ah destruction. This fan-fiction does not follow the exact lore of Dainsleif and Lumine's past either, it is simply a plot that I imagined could have happened and for entertainment purposes only. In this story Lumine has woken up far before Aether, so Aether and Paimon are not present in this story except for maybe some flashbacks regarding the twins.

The entity is revealed as a part of the ancient ruins of an advanced civilization - it called itself the Ark. For the next centuries, Aether will discover its purpose and history not only in this part of the world where he is but the raw information been given. Afterward, his understanding and research, Aether ventured toward an unknown location in an uncharted sea with he knew of its true location. Once all finished he heads for Monstadt in a craft to hide and wait before being put in stasis until four centuries later when the story begins. Once that happens a series of events that threaten this world and intervention will happen before anyone notices it. (This story will not change or be deviant from the original story as all will be the same, the stories involved will happen in between patches.) Fantasy Fanfic with added Sci-fi content.
