The only ones concerned about his wellbeing was the Hokage: Sarutobi Hiruzen. At the age of six, Naruto returned to the village; pretending to be dumb, to be a knucklehead and pulling pranks. In reality, he's there on a mission. A mission no one knows about. He joins the academy to learn about everyone, even the teachers. In terms with Naruto's return the Hokage didn't question his disappearance but only smile at the small boy with open arms.

Just search for a child that has the ability to make the brightest of stars jealous, because it'll never shine as purely as he does. Or will it? ...Poor soul. Has your sensei not thaught you to look beyond the deception? It turns out this boy is incredible at acting. I mean, always smiling with a broken heart isn't an easy task.. Yet, he does it on a daily basis, maybe for work, maybe for self protection. No one, maybe not even himself, has seen the scared boy that hides behind the many masks he created. And that's how it all began. When he was assigned to his bigger nightmare: Protecting a bunch rookies What will happen? Will Naruto be able to manage acting happy and goofy all of the way? Or will his mask break when the burden becomes to much? But most importantly, will he be able to feel again? Read to find out!!! Also, I got bored of the cliche stuff, so this story is going far away from canon and other Anbu fanfics I've read (they're really good but I'm crazy so yeah) DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN NARUTO OR THE CHARACTERS IN ANY WAY, if I did a lot of people would be returning from their graves.
