Anyone who survived or was discharged early was lucky to step foot on American soil again. Miles Whitbeck was 24 years old when saw only thirty three days of combat and lasted two hundred and seventy four more days missing in action in Vietnam, but many concluded that he was dead rather than missing. Another name lost in the war that everyone was too busy still fighting to look for.
He never gave up on trying to find his way back home.
