Darla is an independent, twelve year old girl. She lives in the suburbs of New York City, and makes a living from selling cupcakes at a bake shop in Eastern New York City. Although, this occupation did not last long, she develops a new lifestyle, and moves along her path. Tedious, is what fits the description of her everyday life; and when her mother gets a new boyfriend, skepticism grows between their relationship.
