She thought her life would go back to some semblance of normalcy once she reduced the facility that ruined her life to ash. 
She was legally dead; a ghost. All she had to do was to destroy what destroyed her, and she could start over. 
Though she changed her name and moved across the country, it didn't take long for evidence to travel state lines, finding its way back to her. 
The message was clear: someone knew what she'd done, and she had only two options: let the  evidence they were leaving behind lead her to her second death, or find them first.
