Being a Dark Fae has never, is never, and will never be easy and Anastasia knows that better than most, her unusual darkness never fails to lurk behind her every step and when the Crown of her corrupted homeland is in trouble, Anastasia must do something she's never done before - work with others. And it doesn't help that the High King himself somehow falls into her palms, needing her help, all while the two bond together; but there's the issue at hand which seems to also pull the two apart. Will they save the homeland and the crown itself? Or will their differences pull them apart? Is their bond growing into something more or is it just lies to get closer to their own personal end goal? Excerpt: "Introducing my council," A group of about six Fae, each one representing a different skill set, walked into the ballroom and up to the throne; each one stoic as a women, skin of grey, wisps of white hair, and anyone could tell she was gifted with wind, stepped up. Her gown matched her hair, both seemingly never ending. "Good evening," Even her voice sounded like soft air, so breathlessly perfect. "Tonight I am to announce which three of the Dark Fae will be trained for a task that only those three will know and even our history books will not carry..." Anxiety shot through Anastasia.
