The woods are not a place for a girl like her. She knows. But it only makes her more curious. Curiosity killed the cat, she was warned. She did not give heed for she was no cat.

Red, or at least what everyone calls her, the girl in the red hoodie wants to go to the woods. The place her grandmother forbids her from going without an explanation. For in there, she's likely to get killed by shape shifting wolves-
hunters.

Determined to go to the woods, Red meets her first hunter, a huge white wolf with eyes as blue as the midnight sky. She knows what a wolf like that could do.

A wolf like that could kill her too.

What if I were to tell you the story you know of Little Red Riding Hood was not what you believed it to be? The real story was one of betrayal and magic. Where love and lust go hand in hand. Asena and Lieve are the best of friends, sisters, if you will. One gets all of the attention while the other is disregarded. A perfect recipe for jealousy to brew and boil over. A curse is placed upon Asena one night. She becomes a monstrous beast hungry for human flesh and bones every full moon. No one knows how to kill this creature but when four monster hunters get involved, secrets meant to be kept even in death, are revealed. Questions arise and the closer the monster hunters get...the closer they are to death.

Now, Red is a story book character, but here is a story that nobody has ever heard of before. Red Ridinghood is a wolf hunter to the third degree. She is twenty five with brown hair. Her eyes as white as ice. This is how werewolves think that she's one of them, but she's not. Red carries around a bow and arrow in her little basket so that she doesn't seem suspicious. Her gran made it for her before she died from a werewolf attack. Red's first werewolf was at the age of fifteen when gran died and she has been killing ever since. But let's just go through the background details. When Red was about five, she got a red hood and a basket. She would always go from her little cottage to Gran's old home by a pathway, that was eroded with weeds and daisies, so that she could deliver her mother's famous home made jam drop biscuits. Now this is a time without any cars so it was about a half an hour's walk. Yes, Red would always hear things in the forest an turn around to see who it was. No one there. So she kept walking. The only thing is that you can never fall for a werewolf. This was going to be hard. Warning: the following chapter may contain corse language, spiritual violence and fantasy drama.

But here is my twisted version is where the grandmother was killed and having the wolf forcing Little Red to live with him, later on they fell in love and there is the leader of a wolf pack that is trying to kill Little Red Riding Hood. Her name is now just Red Riding Hood because she is not little anymore, she is a 20 year old woman living with her mother in the village. In addition to weaponry to defend themselves, the people would don enchanted clothing that would protect them from the wolves. Phoenix is a young girl who grew up without a mother, who was killed by wolves when Phoenix was only a toddler. She was given an enchanted crimson cape to wear whenever she left. the house. One year, during a very frightening encounter with a wolf, her cape is ripped and the magic leaves the garment forever. In order to re-enchant the cape, Phoenix must provide a sample of the blood of the thing she fears the most. In this case, Phoenix's greatest fear was a specific wolf that is believed to be the biggest of them all. The very essence of the term Big Bad Wolf. On her quest, Phoenix learns to face her fears.
