It was one gloomy night when it all began. I was the assistant to Dr Taylor, a professor at the University of Manchester. A man came in with a cadaver, which Dr Taylor told me to collect. Something feels weird about him and the body seems off; it didn't look dead nor was the heartbeat alive. An incident happened the very next day. One that would leave hysteria.

This story is a school assignment on 19th Century short stories. I would recommend my other book (not a school project) especially if you are a classmate of mine or my teacher. I hope you enjoy this one first.

Detention
We held our breath as we heard footsteps enter the dark room. My heart raced and I covered my mouth to keep from screaming as tears ran down my cheeks. Caleb sat next to me, with obvious fear in his eyes. I knew that the desk couldn't hide us for much longer and that's what scared me the most. The footsteps came closer and they grew louder by the second. I held my breath once I heard the man's footsteps stop. Caleb and I exchanged looks as we sat frozen under the desk. I looked up, trying to listen to the man's actions. Then a gloved hand grabbed the edge of the desk and the man's bloody mask appeared in front of me. He stared at us and chuckled, "Found you." · · · Seven classmates find themselves in detention from breaking the rules at their school. This, of course, isn't their first time in detention but something seemed different. The teacher leaves to do something leaving the kids completely unsupervised which was kind of weird. He usually left some goody two shoes to watch them but this time there was no one except them. Creepy things begin to happen and they find themselves locked in the school. What was this? Time is ticking as they try to find their way out before they end up lying in a puddle of their own blood.Завершенная история

My lungs and muscles burned. Everything in my body begging me to stop but I had to keep moving. I had to get away. I rather die than go back to that lab but this building was a maze! Never ending hallways and big metal sliding doors that you see in space movies. All I could hear was the patter of my bare feet, heavy breathing, and my heart beating in my ears. "Hey!!! Stop her!
