2250. American Republic. 200 years since the world changed.
In 2050 a rare virus never seen before that only affects the blood stream of women, started to take 95% of the women whom carried it. As of a result of the virus the women of the world numbers started to drop. There's about a 900,000 men for every 10 women. On top of the virus killing the women, another virus was released simultaneously that affected everyone , not just the females this time. That gave some of them supernatural DNA or just a special ability, but like the virus for the women. Only about 40% got a sort of new genetic code.
Anna, 19 has been on her own since she was 10. 9 years of couch surfing, concealing her gender with constantly bundling up, and keeping to herself. Anna has multiple mutations that can help her, shes the only person she knows of to have more than one mutation in her genetic code.
