Phoenix is an 18-year-old girl, who has a rough home life. She wants a family that will love and care for her, but she doesn't have that. She is about to graduate high school, but she needs extra credits to do so. She then takes an extra credit course that allows her to job shadow the career she wants to go into after graduation which is phlebotomy.
She ends up shadowing at a blood donation center and comes to find out that one of the employees there has been secretly giving away blood to this mystery lady that comes at night. This mystery lady runs an orphanage for vampire children, and they need this blood to survive.
The two of you start to slowly fall in love with each other. Phoenix eventually meets the children she takes care of, and you start to bond with them. They are like your little brothers. You have finely found the family that wants and loves you and you will do anything to help keep them safe even if that means stealing from the job that you shadow at or going against a dangerous gang.
