I give my opinions (which are positive) about children; and, how I feel that children can be viewed negatively-including through the use of stereotypes.
*Just like the title states, children really are amazing little people!
They tend to be underestimated a lot. People can sometimes forget that children are individuals with emotions too. Parenting is a prime example. A lot of parents are probably so used to being the boss so much that they forget about their children's feelings, and their need for listening and understanding. Yes, parents raise and care for their children; but, children do not need to be controlled! In my opinion, children should have a certain degree of freedom to be their own individual!
*Children need to find their own identity!
Just like the elderly, children may be stereotyped! They may be thought of as incapable. Yes, childrens' brains may be underdeveloped. No, they have not become adults nor have experienced enough things in life yet. Despite that, children are actually pretty intelligent! Plus, they have a great habit of catching and knowing things. They mimic what others say and do around them in their environment. They are a lot smarter than what some adults give them credit for; and honestly, adults can probably learn valuable lessons from them!
