Okay so basically Takemichi is depressed because of what he saw, who could blame him tho. Takemichi can control how far in the past he wants to go, so he decides to save everyone for the millionth time Takemichi is sick because of the overuse of his power. Mikey had never surfed a day in his life. That didn't stop him from grabbing a board and charging into the waves like he was born for it. His friends were still setting up snacks on the beach, unaware that Mikey was already paddling out - with no experience and definitely no supervision. The first wave knocked the wind out of him. The second dragged him under. He couldn't tell which way was up. Saltwater burned his lungs as he sank deeper, limbs flailing uselessly. Through the haze, he caught glimpses of vibrant coral, glowing softly in the ocean's filtered light. Small, curious fish circled him, their scales shimmering like fragments of a dream. Then, everything shifted. The water darkened. A shadow - massive and slow - glided past him. Mikey's eyes fluttered, heavy and unfocused. His body floated limply in the abyss. "...ey..." "H..ey..!" "Hey..! Wake up!" He coughed hard, water spilling from his mouth as his eyes snapped open. He was lying on a rock, the sun warm against his soaked skin. Blinking against the light, he saw someone looming over him. Not just someone. A fish person. With messy black hair, wide blue eyes, and a very concerned expression. "Are you okay?" the fish person asked, fins twitching. Mikey squinted. A mermaid? No-merman? Or maybe he was still drowning. ----------------- OR Mikey and his friends go to the beach for some relaxation, there Mikey tries surfing with NO experience and NO supervision. So he ends up drowning before finally opening his eyes to see mermaid Takemichi. Err merman?? Idk
