This is not a coming-out story. This is a story of acceptance, of fighting for what one believes and who they are. Forever and Always is redefining what it means to love both in the institution of religion and life.
"Friends don't look at friends this way..."
Dyon chuckles at this. She looks down at the ground and then up at her again, with knowing amusement. She challenges, "And how do I look at you?"
You say we're friends," She pauses, "but I catch you staring across the room."
"That makes no sense, we're always fighting."
"Yeah, but friends don't look at friends this way."
Dyon's gaze sharpens. She pushes herself off the wall, and slowly approaches Salem. When inches away, so that their breaths mingle, she whispers, "Are we though?"
Salem Mackenzie Matthews is a strong-willed individual. She is sure of everything: where she'll go to college, what she'll study, she knows who she is and that God exists. Her life was given to her to achieve greatness, at least that's what had been drilled into her since birth and she has strived to be nothing less than exceptional.
Plans change and so do minds. Salem questions everything she knows when she meets Dyon Tate, painter, pothead, and the life of the party. Dyon surprises Salem every chance she gets and never fails to enjoy making her eat her words. Salem is rediscovering everything she truly is. I guess blessings do come in disguises. Will she hold on to her beliefs or will she let them go once she enters the new world?

Nathan Eriksson, a closeted bisexual with overbearing internalized homophobia slowly falls for the outspoken gay man on campus, Graham Eide after running into him, quite literally in the Hall 28 stairwell, an awkward accident resulted in them interacting face-to-face for the first time in over a year, noticing each other nonstop around campus and outside afterward as if the universe was somehow bringing them together as friends- maybe more. A year prior, during Graham's first year of college, word got out that he was gay, and it quickly spread around campus due to Megan Fujikawa-Katz, a girl with a popular campus gossip blog, getting a hold of the information, and her best friend, Nathan Eriksson, twisting the knife further by encouraging and participating in verbally harassing Graham relentlessly.
