Angel Teagardin, a 17 year old who just moved to Knockemstiff in Ohio with her father, Preston Teagardin and her mother, Mary Teagardin. It's a new, exiting adventure for the three - Angel gets to make new friends at her school, Preston gets to be the new preacher of the town and tell them different things of God, and Mary.. Mary doesn't do much, but she likes paintings so, a new landscape for her.

Arvin Russell, a troubled 19 year old with a heavy past that haunts him to this day. A man who hates church, yet goes for his little sister to see her mama, yet another reason to go rises and he wants to have fun with it.
