When Lyric Genevieve Cross fell in love with Adam Lancaster on their sophomore year in high school, she was sure as hell that she wasn't going to meet anyone like him. It was the cliché best-friends-turned-lovers scenario; a romance that was cut short when prince charming died, leaving his damsel in a state of distress.

Enter Lucas Chadwick - egotistical, notorious, and an absolute pain in the ass. Being the ladies' man that he is, he couldn't stand the fact that he can't win the heart of precious, little Lyric. After all, it has been a year and a half since her boyfriend's passing.
