The Ruler is murdered and Saola Viator is not surprised in the least. She has never been interested in the politics of her land, but this time was different.
She has always wanted to escape the prison of her own home, but she didn't expect to escape in a way that would almost kill her.
Every time the old Ruler dies, seven competitors are chosen to compete to become the new ruler and are made to go through multiple life threatening competitions.
At 18 years old, Saola is chosen, along with six other competitors, but she's different. She's a human-hybrid.
To make matters worse, Saola meets a girl, Olethea, living in Vonora, the richest place in Mirale. The problem; Saola despises rich people and not to mention humans.
Will Saola and Olethea get along or will they become enemies, and will Saola's differences make it harder for her to become Ruler? Will she make it to the end, or will she die trying?
