A KENYAN SUPERHERO IS BORN!

IMANI BOOK 1

The story of a Kenyan girl whose life is about to change after learning a long-kept family secret that alters everything she believed to be true about her family and herself.

She travels from Nairobi to her motherland following the death of her grandmother, only to discover that her grandmother and her family's lineage are not what she expected, but she comes from a long line of heroes who have protected her village and the world from evil threats for centuries.

They are known as the Spectres, or ghosts, and are mentioned in many myths and legends.

Imani will discover that with great power comes even greater danger as she embarks on a self-discovery journey to become the next Spectre.

[COMPLETED] The First book in The Legends of Sciana series. What if dragons existed? What if there was a magical island full of them in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean that no one had ever heard of or seen before? What if there was such thing as half-dragon hybrid humans that live among us? Scarlett Kaida--or Sera Kingston as she prefers to be called--has just discovered that she is the daughter of a dragon, and not just any dragon, the KING of dragons. One night she's attacked by a demon and saved by kids just like her, dragon royalty. There's Luc, the heir to the throne of the dragon peacekeeper; Talia, the future leader of the entire dragon army; and Kallan, a seemingly normal girl, except for the fact that she can tell the future. Scarlett is then sent to Eternal Academy, a prestigious school for dragon kids just like her, Scale Children. And for a homeschooler, it's quite a shock. Not only does she have to deal with the pressures of being Scale Child royalty, but everything from grades, mean girls, her boyfriend's creepy stalker and a threat from the evil dragon Kali that locked away her father. Scarlett receives information that someone on campus is one of Kali's minions, and will kill Scarlett and the rest of the Crown in six days, which isn't a lot of time at all. When the school goes into a rampage and blames her cousin, Adrian, for being the spy, Scarlett must risk it all to prove his innocence. And it doesn't get any better when she figures out she'll be betrayed by one of the people she calls a friend. In the end, which will she choose? Royalty or Revenge? From her earliest days, Elliet sensed she was set apart. She possessed a strength and speed that surpassed all the children in her village. Because of this, her parents forbade her from revealing her extraordinary abilities to others. One day, while playing with her sister, Elliet unintentionally caused her harm. Consumed by anger and frustration, their mother confessed that Elliet was cursed and adopted. Heartbroken by this revelation, Elliet fled, embarking on a quest to uncover her true heritage. It was then that she discovered the world was far more expansive than she had ever imagined, filled with individuals who wielded power greater than her own. She was soon swept into the clandestine vandid society, a covert group of assassins comprising superhumans. Rising through their ranks like a dark horse, she quickly became the youngest and deadliest assassin in the world, earning the moniker "Dark Angel." Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Sonya embarked on a mission to find her missing sister. Fate intervened when she crossed paths with a young boy destined to become the king of a formidable nation. After saving his life and those of his bodyguards, Sonya was conscripted into the army. WARNING: CONTAINING AMOUNTS OF SASS PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN TO MANKIND In the city of NYC--- Ok. Hold up. First of all, New York City. What, are ya gonna assume everyone here knows what NYC is? Anyway, this is about two people. I can almost hear you rolling your eyes. Another cliché teen fiction with a bad boy and a good girl? Nope. This is about superheroes. I can still hear you rolling your eyes. Superheroes. Like in comic books? Like people with super speed and mutant powers? Yes. But this isn't about the fight they have. More about the lives they lead without the masks. But just keep in mind, people who live in the world have all different skin colours. Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. And if you can name all the references in this book, you truly are a gift to mankind. Fangirl out.
