"Bullshit." Lucilla explained. She quickly darted into an alleyway, unviewable from Ptah sat. But that didn't stop him from following the girl.
"Lucilla." Ptah called out.
"Don't." She ordered, skidding to a stop as she stood by a fire escape. "I screwed up. I get that okay. That doesn't mean I have to go following crumbs Khonshu leaves behind for you. Find someone else to stop him reaching Ammit."
"Lucilla." Ptah called out again.
"No. I failed; you go." Lucilla stated, turning to watch the God appear before her.
"That was not our deal."

Lucilla Spector had been the avatar of Ptah, Egyptian God of Craftsmen and the arts, for years in advance. Her trips travelling from Wakanda to civilisations to complete the God's requests didn't prepare her for the reconnection with a particular family member. With two people she thought to have lost contact with, back in her life, Lucilla needs to fulfil Ptah's final mission for her. She never expected that the task would include someone she never thought to see again.
