   The Scorch Reaper is what the people call Buck, a nineteen year old mercenary with no other goal but to keep her brother safe. She's known by every rebellion and wanted dead by every known WICKED compound. Unfortunately, no matter how hard she tries to avoid it, she finds herself right in the middle of WICKED headquarters as the right hand to Janson.

   When Buck gets sent into the Maze with all her memories, with every detail of the prison trapped in her brain with no way to express it, she is powerless. Surrounded by people she knew, including her brother, the only person who gave her purpose, she bides her time until she can think of a plan.

   A year later Thomas gets sent up and Buck realizes that WICKED is planning something, but there is nothing she can do to warn anyone. But Thomas knows her, he knows there was a deep past between him and the girl with violent intentions. No matter how hard she tries, Buck is unable to keep him away.
