The story follows eighteen-year-old Nicholas Fraiser, or just Nicki for short, who moved to America from England when he was about fourteen years old. After moving around a lot because of his family's work, Nicki finally settled in a town called Phanta, where he will be finishing out his senior year. Phanta is a beautiful seaside town, surrounded by the ocean, though a silhouette of an island can very faintly be seen out in the distance. This island holds many secrets and tragedies that Nicki will soon be aware of. Tragedies he may have at one point been a part of. There's something more to Nicki than he realizes. Little does he know, moving to Phanta and meeting three girls was just another step of setting history repeating back in motion. Though... This was set in stone from the very beginning-- from the moment Nicki was born into this world. A path was already laid out in front of him. "You've fought long and hard. I think it's high time you rest. You deserve to. I know you're tired."
