This story is based 100 years into the future well, 100 years after the "war" with the Vultori. Everyone in Forks except Charlie and Sue Swan-Clearwater have passed away. Charlie was given a spell by a wandering witch that gave him immortality as a gift for saving her life from a bunch of drunk men.
