A new school year started, and Kazuha was assigned a project with a guy named Scaramouche. Kazuha eventually falls for him, while Scaramouche had always liked him but never showed it. Tomo, Kazuha's best friend, got jealous of them getting closer and took action. Kazuha then acts strangely towards Scaramouche, which upsets him and he found it odd. Thirdly, I took inspiration from BSD Beast, hence the name of the fic being a reference to Osamu Dazai's book No Longer Human, and the whole mafioso thingy. Summary: Kaedehara Kazuha: the boss of a famed criminal organization, the Fatui. Scaramouche: the lead detective working on the case of the mysterious new Fatui leader. Their meeting happens seemingly by chance, at an empty and desolate bar. The friendship that forms afterwards is something tender and intimate. But Kazuha knows more than he lets on, and he isn't who he says he is. (Scaramouche finds that out the hard way.)
