Gaster was physically tormented by the goopmonster when suddenly a portal appeared, and the stranger came to his rescue and took him to the surface. Thus his journey begins with a bit of a twist; the former scientist starts his life from scratch by being reborn again by being an infant with no memories of his past life and is raised by two elderly couple who owns a farm not too far from Mt. Ebott.

Pretty self explanatory. This takes place after the Pacifist route in Undertale. Through determination, Frisk was able to bring back Chara, Asriel (Asriel is Flowey per say), and Gaster. I believe that Gaster is the father of Sans and Papyrus. I also don't believe that Chara is evil. The monsters are on the surface, and although they are amongst humans, most humans have accepted them.
