The year is 2022. The world is in heavy anticipation for the game that will define VRMMORPGs, Sword Art Online, set in the digital world of Aincrad. One such person is Izuku Midoriya, going by the handle Deku. He fully intended to go online, make a few friends, and come out in time for dinner. Until Kayaba revealed that nobody can leave until the game is beaten. As well as revealing that if you're killed here, you're killed in real life.

Now facing the prospects of a world where any mistake could cost him his life, he must make lifelong friends and form a guild with them. All the while a sinister group lurks in the shadows, convinced that death here doesn't mean death in real life.
