She clutches the silky ivory fabric and lifts it up as she sprints down the beaten dirt path, away from the palace, away from the only person in the world that she would ever fear. The ground is cold and frozen underneath her feet, frost creeping in as the night begins to set. Her hair whips in the wind behind her and tears at her face, eyes watering and face a rosy pink. Trees stretch out in all directions, Her bare arms are riddled with goosebumps, but she ignores it and continues running. An unworldly sound tears through the sky, and she stumbles over a loose root, the wedding dress tearing at the knees. A sweet scent- possibly roses- suddenly floods the air and she tears her head up. Standing in front of her is a tall man, deceptively lean, sharp features, and shocking blue eyes. On the top of his head rests his golden crown, nestled in among his dark hickory locks. Power radiates from every aspect of his existence, tugging at her to bow, to kneel. She ignores the urge and glares at him as he speaks. "Well hello, darling. What a lovely coincidence to find you here."

The rain fell from the sky with ferocity and smashed into the pavement filling the air with the sound of a stampede. The noise was deafening as I struggled to stand up. The blood from my wound was covering the ground beneath me and I covered it with my hand as I pushed off the pavement. On my feet now I struggled to step towards the grass. Through the howling wind and pounding raindrops I could hear what sounded like a chant, calling me and drawing me towards the cliffs edge. "Vienna, my Queen, my blood Queen" I started to move my feet faster until I could run towards the edge. Only when I was at the edge did I turn and look back one last time at the castle behind me. I could see him standing on the balcony, he was screaming my name. I could just hear it over the rain. I unclipped my red cape and whispered goodbye to him. As he jumped off the balcony to run towards me I leaned backwards and let my body fall with the rushing water to the river far down below. I carried her whispers with me to the dark edge until they vanished.
