As I tiptoe down the cold candle-lit hall their memory creaks in my mind with every step, every movement. I can no longer hide amongst the shadows,
And when I run the shadow of their memory catches me and I can hear their laughter echoing loudly.
Or is it my own?
I stop.
memories will haunt me, it will make me smile. It will break me and heal me at the same time. But at the end of the MEMORIES WILL STAY, IT WILL STAY WITH ME. FOREVER.

I'm so afraid. I haven't been able to sleep for some time now. They keep me awake. Every night they come from out the shadows and speak to me. Every night I can hear their laughter, their whispers. The shadows on the walls twist and churn as what lurks within them moves. Every so often I catch a glimpse of one of their too-wide smiles. The things they say to me are unspeakable. It is so wondrous. They fill my head with things I never thought possible. As I lay awake in bed at night, listening to them, I am afraid to hear them. Hello. I’m Cassidy. I’m 16 years old, and I am helpless. I’m weak, defenseless and not to mention unassuming. I am utterly boring and uninteresting.
