She gave up on writing when she was in middle school when she noticed she couldn't hold a story together, but now she's back at writing with a story she knows very well. Her life. Her messy, tragic, problematic life. In order to write about her life, she has to think about everything she's shoved down for so long. Sometimes reliving everything that's happened in your life does more harm than good. Julie has to find that out the hard way. Realizing she needs moral support with this, she asks her friend Barry to help her through this book that she might not even publish.
