The world was split apart 50 years ago. In panic, some people decided to create a city on one of these peices of the planet. To control their people and keep them from finding out a way to restore the world as it was. To avoid anyone finding out they placed walls around the city and promised to protect anyone who goes in. Everything there is perfect. Freedom, food, clothing, everything you need is provided by the government of this city. But once you make it out things are way different. A war is happening and the citizens are unaware, too cozy with their "perfect" lives to notice how the government they love so dearly has been experimenting and creating "weapons" right under their noses.
