The players of the MOBA games Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) and League of Legends (LoL) have been fighting over which game is better for 20 years already. One day, Valve got tired of their crap and collaborated with RIOT to make a game which has BOTH DotA2 and LoL in it, and decided to call it Heroes and Champions (HaC or HC), and it turned out to be the biggest hit in gaming in almost 15 years. Hiro Carter, a player of HC, manages to get to top 12 with his team, Carol Dames, Benjamin Stills, Tadashi Naga, and Darwin Reese. They do one more fight, and they all receive a special something from the Gamemaker, Gabe Merrill. Something really special, I might add.

Of heroes, villains, and doing the right thing (no matter what it costs). After losing his job as a Top Hero, Jack is left reeling with the knowledge that everything he thinks he knows about the world is wrong. Turning to the only person he knows he can trust to be honest with him comes naturally - after all, they had a shared history anyways. Being public enemies didn't really mean you couldn't know someone privately... But when he proposes dismantling the system as they know it, he doesn't really know what he's getting himself - or his new makeshift team - into. This is the introduction to something much larger than one angry man. This is a story about growth and change. A story about new beginnings and questioning everything you think you know. A 2024 ONC Novella
