The Definition of Insanity

Annie Warner has worked for Adams, Incorporated for seven months, almost exactly, but this wasn't the career she wanted. Her entire life, all she ever wanted was to write novels that would change people's lives. This cleaning job was not what she wanted. Adams, INC. is no normal business, that would be too easy... Adams, INC is the largest insane asylum in North America.
Straight out of college, this was only supposed to be temporary, to bring in a little extra cash before her book took off, but all her hopes and dreams, along with her inspiration for writing, has been pushed aside when she is offered a position helping out the patients...
The newest patient, Kellan English, was diagnosed with Schizophrenia at 17, just a month before graduation. Growing up just miles apart, Annie knows nothing of the ill man, but Kellan knows exactly who Annie Warner is. His single favorite memory of his childhood is a 15 year old Annie laughing as her then-boyfriend, a jeck who found huge fun in Kellan's stutter, tossing eggs at Kellan. The beautiful blonde has been the only thing to distinguish reality from the monsters were living in his head for the entire time he has been living in Adams, INC. Annie Warner is mysterious, yet in his mind, she's absolutely perfect.
Nearly six years have passed since the graduation they would have shared, but only Annie has been given a chance to follow her dreams, looking to the future. Her new career helping the newest eight patients in the third unit of the hospital is showing that what Annie always wanted, is not what she needed.
Annie's new position may be giving both Kellan and herself a second chance, one toward the future that was right for both of them. As Annie discovers that insanity is just a title, and you better watch where you are using it, Kellan is seeing that the future may have been so out of reach alone may be just around the corner with the help of some unlikely friends.
