The story is set in the year 2050. Virtual reality technology has advanced rapidly, with the industry giant VeRse-Ware on the cutting edge. One of their most popular virtual worlds is the Digi-verse: a game where you can tame and battle digital monsters, or digimon. 

One stormy night Joshua Keith discovers one of these digital monsters in the real world, and learns firsthand of the dangers that they pose to humanity. Unfortunately, that danger is much more real than he thinks.
