Lucas, Alex and Evelyn Maganti are home for the summer, and that's really all there should be to it.

But Alyvir isn't quite the same as it was when they left. For one, Darcy's got a new friend, a non-witch boy who's just moved to town, and she's suddenly insisting that she doesn't want to go to school with her older siblings.
