Lycoris Atropa is a young woman whose beauty hides a deadly secret- poison runs through her veins, bringing sickness and death to all unlucky enough to touch her bare skin. As an Esper, a psychic sub-species of human beings who face massive discrimination, such an ability is a curse, one that has brought her much pain and prevented her from experiencing true, unconditional love.

Sold off by her parents to the Rouge Fleur Circus at the age of 15, Lycoris is left alone to contend with the intimidating new reality she has been thrust headfirst into. The circus she now calls home is staffed by non-human performers, like demons, faeries, and even other Espers like herself, all led under the control of the vicious ringmaster, Mr. Fleur.

Lycoris finds comfort among her eccentric cohorts, taught in the circus arts to take advantage of her inhumanity to create something spectacular. During her time in the Rouge Fleur Circus, Lycoris discovers her talents as an acrobat and comes to understand her fellow performers, each with tragic stories of their own to tell.

While balancing her performing life, Lycoris must learn to come to terms with her own nature as an Esper, reconcile with her painful past, and understand what it truly means to have a place in the world.

Dying Is The Easy Part

21 parts Complete Mature

Two months after finding out that they have magical abilities, Quinn is still struggling to come to terms with the fact that they're a witch. It becomes even more difficult when another, significantly more troubling talent starts to emerge: the ability to see ghosts. ***** Even though Quinn tries to ignore the spirits haunting the old college campus, they soon find themself inexplicably drawn to Vincent, a boy from the 1930s with a sweet disposition and a tragic past, and his rag-tag group of ghosts. Before they know it, they find themself on a desperate hunt for answers and artifacts from their former lives, aided by Luis, a charming coffin maker with a penchant for the paranormal who Quinn can't seem to stay away from. In the end, it all comes down to one question: to accept or not to accept their magic? Spoiler alert: caring more and more about the ghosts you're supposed to set free doesn't make things easier. This is a spin-off to LOVE AND OTHER WICKED THINGS but can be read as a stand-alone.
