The stories of dead kingdoms and magic are many. The Kingdom of Roses, a powerful empire with a magic longed by many, fell eleven years ago, when the crown princess Ravenna went missing. Along with her disappearance, the magic in Roses started to falter, and a darkness settled upon the land, causing most to die in mysterious ways. Since then, no one recalls what happened to the once beautiful Kingdom.

Fern Beermaker is a young girl living in Arberi along with her beloved mother and father. She works in their pub and dreams of travelling and riding a black stallion called Cassiopea. Her life has always been simple, all until a cloaked stranger walks in the pub at a late hour. Fern, enchanted by him, follows him into the Forest and finds herself on his journey which holds more secrets than she expected.
