Metempsychosis within a secret history

A story that follows the reader of the book "The Secret History" by Donna Tartt, who wakes up in Vermont in 1984 and decides to change the story and the circumstances that make the group of elites become criminals, adjusting their present and future forever.

She is reincarnated as Rhea Lawrence, a character that didn't appear in the book but soon a character that becomes the key to the new plot.
Will she blend in the fictional universe or will her secret be found out by the most intelligent people she has ever met?
