Benjamin Stanton has always wanted to pilot star ships since as far as he can remember. His best friend, Dain Burr'den, a half bear half man hybrid from a long line of genetically modified humans, wants to get enough money together so that he and his mate can settle down. Aina is an artificial intelligence that wants to escape her gilded cage. When Dain is sentenced to death in a lawless section of space, the three steal a prototype smuggling ship from a black market robber baron named Darian Mathias and try to escape into the vast reaches of the galaxy. But Mathias, who is obsessed with the ship and the AI, will stop at nothing to get them back. Now the three have to survive anyway they can, taking whatever jobs they can, while trying to evade bounty hunters looking to make a fortune by capturing the crew.

This is a story i self published on amazon.  I did so with the intention of seeing what people thought of it, but it kind of got buried and I couldn't get much feedback.  I figured I'd put it here to see if I could get some good feedback.All Rights Reserved

This story is sci-fi, romantic and a highly dramatic teen fiction about Amber and Ryan as we hear the tale of how two enemies turn into lovers as they struggle to survive for 20 days on a deserted planet... This tale tugs a few heart strings and has some bizarre moments. Please let me know what you think as this is the first story I've ever written/shared/finished and would love to hear some opinions! HOME BUT NOT HOME by AppleLovingIndividua

In 2034, the asteroid, 4486 Mithra is headed to Earth, now as a radioactive meteor, containing uranium. In a joint effort, to save the world from the threat of the meteor; the United States Space Force collaborates with NASA, Space X, JAXA and other big companies, to launch the NASA DART 2.0, to redirect and destroy Mithra. Cpt. Austin Moore, along with Lt. Col. James Bragg, and 2d Lt. Julia Walker, take refuge in an experimental cryogenic chamber, at the Armed Forces HQ in Arlington County, Virginia. However, the massive impact of the meteor is so powerful, that despite redirection, explodes huge, which causes the radioactive rock, to burn everything within a one hundred-mile radius, destroying the facility, and leaving Aaron and his team to be presumed dead. Forty-two years later, now in 2076, Austin along with James and Julia emerge from the now empty and inactive cryogenic pods, which kept them alive, and not aging at all. However, the world as they know it is in turmoil. With technology and machines becoming sentient, and taking over the world, most of the planet is now a dry and barren desert wasteland, with seventy-give percent of human population now extinct. Austin and his friends see, they are now pitted against strong malicious AI and evil machines, along with mutated former human creatures that succumbed to the gamma rays in the atmosphere. Along with acceleration in climate change, and technological progress, humans are now reduced to smaller settlements to survive and battle for resources. It has been 40-some years since Captain Nick Reyes and his crew attacked Mars in an attempt to destroy Salen Kotch's reign with the SDF. Now, a new threat of SDF forces has risen, and although Earth has been restored since the attacks, the planet is still in grave danger. A young woman by the name of Terra Sloane escapes Earth after the SDF's deadly attack, heading to Mars. There, the supposed Captain Reyes is still alive, through which a secret no one knows. Though he is supposed to be in a coma-like state, Terra runs into him in the wastelands of Mars after crash-landing. Convincing him to return with her, Terra begins a journey to defeat the high power of the SDF: Colis. His plans to destroy the solar system with the new SDF are more powerful than ever before and it won't be long before the entire solar system is obliterated. With this unexpected journey Terra begins, she learns the truth to more secrets than she thinks possible. With those come betrayal, loss and even a bit of unintentional love. ~~~ This is a work of FAN-fiction, therefore I don't own everything in this story. Terra, the rebels, some ships, Colis and other minor characters are from my mind. There are also some locations, unless specified, that belong to me. Reyes and any parts of the story having to do with the game's original campaign rightfully belong to the creators of Call of Duty games. Around 100 years before the Clone Wars, an overly-emotional young woman was forced to leave the Jedi-Order just as she was about to take her trials to become a full-fledged Knight. Hurt, confused, and yet extremely powerful, Cassiopeia sought alternative employment only to learn that young human females weren't taken too seriously in the dark world of mercenaries and bounty hunters. So, she took the only job that she could find in order to keep food on the table and a roof over her head: Exotic Dancing. The twenty-year-old was somewhat of an exhibitionist to begin with, so dancing nude on a Zero-Gravity table didn't seem to bother her, although she always hoped that it was just a means to an end. Enter the RAIS; the Republic Association of Independent Scientists, who approached the naïve girl with an interesting offer that would catapult her into the realm of planetary exploration, Force-sensitive animals, and mysterious pirates. During her journey, young Cassiopeia would learn that trust is earned, friendships are built brick-by-brick, and despite what she was told: perhaps she did deserve Knighthood after all.

The story I admit is strongly inspired by both Star Wars and Firefly but it is not taken in either of those universes although it could easily fit in both of them. On planet Namid war is breaking out for the throne. The two twin princes crash land on planet Earth to ask for help from any humans who would listen to them. Only one very shy girl listened to them though. She agreed to help them fix the ship since she is very lonely and needs some much-needed change in her life. The evil aliens have finally taken the throne and are now ruling the alien citizens like their slaves. The shy girl and the two crown prince aliens are on their way to planet Namid. One day prince Xeknien falls for the shy girl while his brother falls in love with an alien citizen who loves painting people and landscapes. Xeknien's brother is called Chasaell. The evil king alien makes the mom of the crown prince's his wife in order to finalize his way to steal the throne. Xeknien, Chasaell, and the shy girl named Yua Quang finally made it to Planet Namid. They are currently making a plan to take back the throne form all of the evil alien household. Before the prince's land on planet Earth there is a war council meeting on how the planet should be run, everyone is angry at yelling at each other. The maids are trying to calm everybody down, but nothing seems to work at all. The current king who rules very loving, but firm is hurt that some of his subjects want to kick him out of the throne permanently. Finally, after a whole lot of fighting the evil alien family has been captured and are going to be sent as servants to Prince Ghov'uk Stone who is one of the most strictest princes of planet Pheon ROI3. This story has now been completed.

Computer updates are simple, right? Apparently, that's not always the case when it involves a Spaceship's AI in the middle of deep space. We have always relied upon technology to travel through space, but sometimes that very same technology has a mind of its own... (This story has a happy ending) -------- Sneak Peek: A flashing orange light in the top corner of my handheld device prompted me to check the system status page. My jaw dropped. All sorts of systems were going offline. Water, sewage, air, heating, cooling, weapons, and many more. What was going on? The Overseer was more decisive than I was. "Go help get the air systems back online. We can eat dry rations for two weeks, but we can't hold our breath for that long." I took off running once more. I hadn't gone far when I almost ran right into Logan. I asked, "What going on?" He grabbed my shoulders urgently. "The main computer's AI is taking over the entire ship. I need to get to a backup mainframe to try and reverse the upgrade, but I can't find the room! The AI messed up the electronic maps, and I have never been to this one before! Where is the Delta access room?!" My mind tried to wrap itself around the details as I gave directions, "...then turn left and it's by the plumbing room on that level." "Thanks!" This story is a result of that thought. I didn't use any movies or series for inspiration, the story is my original work. This is just the result of my weird imagination and brain thinking about what that character would do and telling me what to write.
