"I just..." Fred sighed. Visibly upset by whatever topic was at hand. I could tell he was tinkering with his words. A crease formed between his brows as if he was worried what he said next was a question he didn't want answered. "I don't understand why you choose their company. You aren't like them." He paused. I could see the warmth in his cheeks. Hear the way his breath softened. I wanted so badly to forget everything that he did. That I did. "You're... you're good, Indie. You're considerate and caring. You have so much love to give. You don't fit in with such hateful people." That's when the tidal wave broke through. That one godamn word that Fred surely didn't mean any harm by but caused this vengeful ice to slither through my lungs, up my throat, onto my tongue... up, up, up. I furrowed my eyebrows, but the crease between mine meant something else entirely. With venom on my tongue I spat, "Well fed devils behave better than famished saints." The one in which a willful, witty Slytherin tries desperately to not suffocate in her feelings for Fred Weasley.

"Someone's being nosey again..." Draco dragged his words out, pulling my face closer to his. His finger was digging into my jaw and chin, causing me to squint my eyes at the pain. "Did you not learn from last night?" He hissed at me. I didn't dare move under his fingertips. The back of my eyes only stung more and more. Draco's hand travelled from my jaw to the back of my neck where he fisted some of my hair. He was looking at me, waiting for me to say something. "And..." He went on, sighing. " You still haven't told me why you're here, orphan." Draco was tugging on my hair so I was forced to look at him. His eyebrows were raised. "I thought you were-," "You thought I was what?" He started smirking again. "I thought you were seeing Astoria..." I barely whispered. Draco rolled his eyes at me and let go of my hair, turning to face the vanishing cabinet. He let out a few chuckles, resting his arm above his head against the cabinet. "Why did you think I was seeing Astoria?" Draco turned to face me again, now crossing his arms in front of his chest. I couldn't get any words out. "You must've had a good reason." He said in an amusing tone. "I don't know." I huffed. "You don't know?" He replied straight away. "You do know." Draco was walking towards me again, and he looked like he was about to laugh again. "Why do I find it hard to believe that you don't know?" He grits out.
