For decades upon decades I have wandered the world, not quite sure what I was searching for. I have seen everything there is to see. Done everything there is to do. Lived through everything worth living through. However, when I went to visit and old friend in Forks, Washington I found myself drawn into a vampire war with the urge to protect the innocent just as I did years ago. Along the way I made new friends and portions of my past returned to haunt me. What I did not expect though was to find myself drawn to a shape-shifter – the very creature that was designed to murder me – and unless I can help to overcome these obstacles all hope will be lost for a chance at the one thing I have yet to experience during my life. Who is this shape-shifter I speak of? That portion is not so simple because he is Jacob Black.
