He was on the phone saying how she meant nothing to him and he was only using her. She left running into his brother telling him what had happened and deciding she wanted out of new Orleans. So she went to the town she knew he hated and wouldn't come to so she could raise their daughter. Now he's here to wish his niece off. He's never been the same since she disappeared. Nor had he ever figured out why. All he knew was that his parents had tried to threaten her so he said what he had to so he could protect her.

Turning cold having her two best friends and her sisters help her to get one daughter back and protect the other even if it means that she has to abandon her. That she has to disapear from the face of the earth to get it done. She gets help along the way but somethings are better done on your own. Doing everything that she can do to get Miyla back and keep Maya safe. She has to return to home with a plan. She now is cold distant and doing everything so she can be home with both of her girls even breaking people she never wanted to.
