London, 1838. Jules Vanderbilt is a disgraced inventor whose restitution for his misconduct involves helping the League of Vigilance, a citizen anti-crime organization. He tracks down rogue inventors in London's underworld to prevent the spread of black market technology.

Jules is on the path to redemption until his newest case leads him to an inventor he wants to keep to himself rather than turn over to the authorities. But Gangrene Mob tinkerer Mr. Brass is building a time machine that would unleash chronological chaos if it fell into the wrong hands.

When the Gangrene Mob captures Jules, his only chance of survival is to help build the time machine. As Jules's unrequited love for Brass grows stronger, he faces a heart-wrenching decision. He can either choose love and watch the world burn, or condemn the man of his dreams to a lifetime of imprisonment.

Would Jules Vanderbilt rather become a hero-or a villain?
